784 A.D. or (Year 784 Anno Domini) was the present time year during the erion saga events at it's ongoing occurrence, the main storyline event of the game is set at the near end of the 8th century in early medieval period era, odin sphere main storyline events started right just after the collapse of the roman empire and end of the beowulf event, it was this time when the world was almost destroyed and the life almost perished but due to the efforts of five main characters, the on going destruction process of the world and life during the armageddon was halted and was able to reborn and flourish the life back on the planet, the story was passed down through the generations by story telling of mouths and somehow the story would slowly start to fade out of reality in the minds of the people for the next coming centuries until it was almost entirely seen as a fictional story event of a written book.
1038 years later during the industrial era of the early 19th century in 1820s an 8 year old girl named alice read a collection of books known as erion saga which was supposedly written by her "grand father" as she claims, it is revealed in the end of the game story that the story events written in the collection of books known as erion saga that alice read was actually a real occuring story event, as alice was called by her mother from the attic of their house because of the cake being baked by her mother was done, soon as she left the attic and later her cat socrates, a blue tube light appears in the scene and cornelius and velvet came out from that blue tube light in their pooka form, then they took the valentine coin that alice removed from an armageddon book earlier and in exchange for the valentine coin they took, they left a book called "wheel of fate" which was the continuation of the collection of books story that alice read, then the cornelius and velvet in their pooka form returns to the blue light tube where they came out to left, then the book they left called "wheel of fate" starts reading on it's own as a story continuation for the erion saga collection books, the end of the story reveals the cornelius and velvet became humans again after they break the spell through the coins they have collected to grant this single wish from the spirit of king valentine, on the other hand mercedes became a big world tree while her supposedly love interest ingway was in the netherworld resting there while looking at the roots of a big world tree which was mercedes in her reincarnation.
