Brom is a dwarf human, he is a short heightened elderly looking man in his middle years, he was one of the former citizens of the destroyed Valentine Kingdom and one of the few Valentine citizens who survived and did not became Pookas afterwards along with Ingway and Velvet like the rest of other surviving inhabitants of the Valentine Kingdom.

Personality Classification[]

Brom is a kind and compassionate character, however in his earlier years he was a much more ambitious individual as he took the instructions of forging Psyphers and gave them to Odin. Not only that but he also crafted the Belderiver without concern for the wielders initially. However as they fell victim to the cursed power, he became steeped in both grief and regret.

This became strongest when Oswald was made into a Shadow Knight, unable to take it anymore he told Oswald the truth. After being sent to the Netherworld and telling Oswald the truth he had lost any personal motivation and became Odette's jewel sculptor but upon learning of Oswald's escape, escapes as well. He would then devote his life to Oswald as his servant to make up for his past and giving Oswald the Belderiver. This devotion would be strong enough that when Oswald was in crippling depression and stalked by a Halja Brom would run toward Oswald to save him heedless of his own safety.

Background Story[]

Like most of the older characters in the telling his earlier life is mostly a mystery. What is known is that he used to be a resident of Valentine and even served under the King who taught him how to forge the Phozon Crystals into the weapons known as Pysphers. At some point however he would teach Odin and his Dwarves how to also forge Psyphers. This action would cause Brom to flee his home, and he would eventually find solace with the Fairies and would forge first the Tasla, and later on the cursed Belderiver.

Plotline Summary Perspective[]

Weapon Builder[]

Brom has forged a few Psyphers including the Tasla, Its remade form is Riblam, and the infamous Belderiver. Out of all of them forging the Belderiver has brought him the most grief and guilt. This guilt was something that developed over time as previous users of the weapon became the phantoms of the mountain known as Desecrators. This guilt reached its peak when it fell into Oswald's hands. As he saw Oswald as a victim of Melvin's machinations knowing full well Melvin cared nothing about Oswald's well-being something he tried to warn Oswald about only to be sent to the Netheworld by Melvin. When Oswald himself ended up in the Netherworld he told Oswald what he knew about his past though he didn't have the full story himself only what Melvin told him and his assumptions.

Forced Labor[]

Stuck in the Netheworld he was forced by Queen Odette to make beautiful jewels from the Phozon crystals of the Netherworld however he is rescued by Mercedes who needed him to make a psypher capable of destroying other Psyphers. Reluctantly Brom agreed and set about to forge a new Psypher. However the Psypher Forge's fire had gone out and Brom needed fire from the Fire Kingdom to relight it. It is here he finds King Valentine who is angry at Brom for it was he who told others the secrets of the forging of Psyphers it is also here that he learns that Oswald escaped the Netherworld as well. After escaping King Valentine's wrath he forges Riblam for Mercedes the only Psypher in the world with the power to destroy another he then leaves to find Oswald hoping to help him find a better life.

Safety Worry[]

At some point he does find Oswald and becomes a servant in his castle serving him faithfully. When Gwendolyn awakens he attends to her as well. He expresses great concern for Oswald's personal feelings scolding Gwendolyn when she had left to give Titrel to her father. When Oswald doesn't return for a few days and Gwendolyn asks of his whereabouts Brom tells her that Oswald had went to fulfill a promise in the fire kingdom. When she comes back this time from rescuing Oswald Brom once again scolds her but expresses thanks that she returned Oswald safe and sound.

Terrifying Witness[]

Sometime after Gwendolyn inquires Brom about the pact between Oswald and the Queen of the Dead he is hesitant to explain. When Oswald explains he leaves to give the two privacy, however when Oswald becomes dejected by Gwendolyn's betrayal and leaves the castle Brom sets out to find him in order to tell Oswald to rest. He see's Oswald stalked by a Halja and instantly rushes to his aid however he is injured doing so and ends up unconscious.

Armageddon[]

Crumbling End[]

In the False ending he is seen with Myris heading for the mountain to escape the crumbling island but ends up dying. It is also assumed in the true ending with the Mountain crumbling from Leventhen's powerful energy blasts that he died there as well.

Relationships[]

Princess Gwendolyn of the Ragnanival Kingdom[]

Like Myris, Brom may have also pledge himself with her in accordance of his working services he is offering to the ragnanival kingdom as he did with the ringford kingdom, he sometimes serves as an informant for gwendolyn alongside with Myris who works as her personal assistant while temporarily residing in the ragnanival kingdom.

Fairy Princess Mercedes of the Ringford Kingdom[]

Brom assisted her during the civil war and rebellion in their kingdom by rather than being on the side of Melvin and give his loyalty to him, he decided to his to Mercedes as Brom sees Mercedes to be much worthy and suitable than Melvin who had greed of power and think of nothing more than himself as he wanted to gain the leadership of the Ringford Kingdom, nevertheless, he also assisted her in defeating Demon Lord Odin by upgrading her weapon with the use of forging fire they took from the fire kingdom for the Riblam's upgrade in order to have an ability to destroy Odin's weapon called the Balor.

Oswald the Shadow Knight[]

Brom feels guilt of his fate, knowing that he was the one who forged his cursed belderiver on orders of Melvin to boost his strength power and have authority to control the army of Ringford for Melvin with the use of threat of force through using his son to gain their control and will of them to pledge their loyalty to him. Brom have a deep regret feeling for Oswald and he sometimes blame himself why he had followed Melvin's order to create the weapon for him, after Melvin's rebellion in the Ringford Kingdom that resulted in failure and his death. He saw Osald in the Netherworld who would ask him of his past Brom would tell him what little he knew and apologized for forcing the Belderiver into Oswwald. Oswald disgusted by Melvin and his own naivety turned away seeing he didn't want pity as he had nothing worth pitying. Brom would remain in the Netherworld sculpting Pysphers for Odette when he is rescued by Mercedes who wanted his skill to create a psypher to destroy Balor Odin's psypher. However during this he would meet King Valentine and through him learn that Oswald was alive again and after forging the Riblam would ask to leave Ringford to serve Oswald. Mercedes would allow him to do so and would go to serve Oswald as penance for his past transgressions. This devotion was powerful enough he would risk harm to save Oswald from the Halja and he would serve Oswald without objection but he was constantly worried for Oswald's health and happiness.

Fairy Duke Melvin of the Ringford Kingdom[]

Brom had a conflicted view of Melvin, intially he was quite eager to serve Melvin but over time he would come to regret his actions. He is aware of Melvins greed for power and Melvin's use of his adopted so, Oswald, for his personal gain. He shows great disapproval for Melvin not telling Oswald the truth of the Belderiver and would go out of his way to warn Oswald. Melvin would stop him from speaking too much and send him to Netherworld not willing to bloody his hands with the blood of his 'comrades' despite this Melvin had no regrets for his any of his actions.

King Valentine[]

He was once his king before when he was still living in the Valentine Kingdom until its destruction, forcing him to flee from the destroyed kingdom and stay in various places in Erion and offer his services on different kingdoms to upkeep his living. They once meet again in the fire kingdom when King Valentine showed up there while Brom was helping Mercedes forge a new Psypher by taking the source of fire in Volkenon as it was the strongest and purest fire needed to restart the forges fire which went out. King Valentine express disappointment and sadness to Brom for being stubborn towards him whom that Brom considers that King Valentine's soul is no longer himself like the former king before as he turned insane and as rather just a cloaked revenant skeleton who went crazy instead of being King Valentine himself like the one he knew who will never act something like the soul of his.

Master Krois[]

Him and Brom actually did not much engaged in any talks but they did had an agreement of something but at some point it never lasted long enough as he died sooner.

Myris[]

Her and Brom became close for sometime and became positive influences for Gwendolyn and Oswald both. Both work dutifully and carefully to ensure the two are happy and healthy. When Armageddon began the two would flee together to the mountain. It's not sure when Brom died as he appears to die before Myris. However it has been deduced, and proven, that Myris was able to survive slightly longer than him, this can be shown in the false ending of the main storyline where Myris was stand in a tall and considered last piece of land of Erion during the continent's sinking to the bottom of the sea.

Trivia[]

  • During one of his dialogues with mercedes in her book story persective called "The Fairy Land" where he was shown with her having conversation as they walk through the pathway inside the ruined monumental building in the fire kingdom, he stated to mercedes that the valentine kingdom used to be his former home as he explains king valentine to her as the king of valentine suddenly appeared front of them while they we're gathering fire from a firepit source that will be used for mercedes weapon upgrade that she will be using against demon lord odin, king valentine's sudden appearance in the fire kingdom terrified mercedes a bit and made her ask Brom who he was, during Brom's explanation of king valentine to her, he revealed that valentine kingdom used to be his former home as he speaks to mercedes, this statement of Brom indicates that all dwarves had originated in the valentine kingdom before defecting to other nations upon it's destruction, in which where Brom was included with, but compared to his co-former comrade homelanders, Brom did not particularly allied himself with any of the other existing nations at the time but would rather offering his services in all of the nations through out the erion and acting as a neutral figure to anyone.
    • This can be seen as Brom helps mercedes, oswald and also as gwendolyn and velvet who we're rival to mercedes and her kingdom that extends to oswald although he became ally to them later as the story progresses, Brom had assisted all of the characters as they all originated from different nations across erion.
