Elder Salamanders are dark gray colored giant variants of the Salamander reptiles, these creatures are the elder siblings of their standard counterparts that can only be found in the volkenon lava pits exclusively the same as their younger fellow lizards, these creatures are deadly and more powerful variants of standard salamanders.
(This mob unit is exclusive to odin sphere remake called "leifthrasir" where it can be only seen and this unit cannot be found in the original version of odin sphere)
Mob Profile Overview[]
Larger versions of the Salamander enemy introduced in Leifthrasir. These enemies are larger, and have a lot more HP and deal more damage than the regular Salamander, making them more difficult to deal with.
Whereabouts[]
Just like their fellow standard counterparts, these versions appear only in the Volkenon Lava Pits. They tend to show up at specific spots, generally after a group of regular Salamanders are defeated.
Appearance Traits[]
These Elder Salamander variants appear pretty much the same as their standard counterparts, their only differences are their size, which is much larger than their standard counterparts, and also have a different skin color which is now dark gray.
Mob Battle Characteristics[]
The main attributes of the elder salamander is the same as their standard counterparts but deals higher damage and often have longer range in fire projectile attacks.
Background Story[]
Elder Salamanders had been living in the volkenon lava pits at the same time as the dinosaurs, dragons, and their standard counterparts but evolved more than their lower fellow lizard, their discovered oldest fossil dates back from atleast 280 million years ago cited on the present day Volkenon Lava Pits at the time of the main storyline event, however there are no any remarkable event that happened which is correlating to any characters in the story before the main storyline event started.
