"'Tis is impossible...'Twould be putting off a volcano with a bucket of water..."

Gwendolyn mutters the impossibility to fight the fully grown Leventhan

Leventhan is one of the four primary antagonist characters in the main storyline of erion saga book series, leventhan is the vile apocalyptic Dragon spoken of in the prophecies as the "being" that would destroy the world, despite leventhan is not a figure character, the dragon is counted as one of the four primary antagonist characters, leventhan is one of the all four existing dragons in the overall main storyline.

Profile Overview[]

Leventhan is the "prophecy dragon" that was predicted as the destroying one in the prophecies as it is destined to destroy the world according to the bible cipher of the epic poem story written in it's prophecy section that was created by king gallon himself, it is also mentioned by the three wisemen earlier in the story before Leventhan became an adult and to be set out to destroy the world through it's own blasting waves being spit out directly towards the crumbling lands of erion, Leventhan is the largest and most powerful of all dragons in the main storyline.

Leventhan dragon first appeared as a dragon egg in Cornelius's story that King Valentine had stolen from Wagner. Cornelius coming across the egg while looking for the Valentine coins that the Goblins had stolen under Valentine's order. Valentine claimed that this was his "Last and Greatest" creation, and he took his crown and put it on the egg. This caused it to hatch Leventhan appearing and attacking Cornelius powered by the crown on it's head.

Leventhan is a curious case as it is the only example of a baby dragon. While it is not known what life he would have had among his own kind it's safe to say he would of been treated with great care as Wagner was furious when the egg containing him was stolen. Also considering Wagner's own reaction both Hindel's and Belial's fate that bonds between dragons is very strong.

However, despite being a mere baby, Leventhan is incredibly powerful while he doesn't summon tornadoes or his flames causes elementals to come up he has powerful beam and giant fireballs breaths that he breathes out with ease. Despite this one must question how much is Leventhan's own natural power or the power of King Valentine's crown. Most notably in Leifthrasir when it's crown get's knocked off it will try to retrieve when it does it's attacks become much stronger and larger. When an adult his beams are no longer flames but pure electricity and in this form the beams causes balls of electricty to form and home in on attackers, not only this but they'll also come from his gaping maw a sign of his tremendous and overwhelming power. However this immense power is a double edged sword, when the horn with the crown attached to it was destroyed the power destroyed Leventhan as a whole causing it fall out of the sky.

Appearance Traits[]

Leventhan as infant resembles a tiny dragon with tiny wings, a beak-like mouth, with the top half of it's egg and King Valentine's crown on top. It's small size however belies it's truly powerful nature as even in infancy it was a powerful and dangerous dragon as powerful if not more powerful than Wagner.

Adult Leventhan is a serpent dragon that bears a color purple skin and an orange-yellow colored glowing eyes, dragon's body also features a number of large spikes through out it's body on it's upper part with two large horns on it's head where king valentine's crown can be seen embedded to one of the dragon's giant horns along with the remnants of it's egg. Leventhan also features a human sized tooth fangs that can be seen in it's massive mouth and the dragon's lower body seems to have a brown colored crocodile like looking skin.

This dragon shares the same exact blend shades of colors as Belial and also the type of being "serpent" dragon in classification with only size difference, Leventhan is about ten to twelve times larger than Belial in terms of scale and size comparison which makes Leventhan as the giant species of the serpent dragons or simply the behemoth version of Belial.

Personality Classification[]

Leventhan does not speak through out the main storyline although it appears to show some emotions but only when dictated by King Valentine, the former king of the valentine kingdom who is now a revenant at the time of the main storyline that the dragon sees as it's master, speakingly, the dragon itself does not any true personality classification and cannot be considered to have one.

Background Story[]

Leventhan was born in the exact year occurrence of the main storyline of erion saga story, during it's ongoing events, as it was hatched by king valentine itself, it is first seen in the story as a baby dragon, king valentine created it for the purpose of being the ultimate destroyer of the world

Gwendolyn thinks it won't be much longer but laments that she wished she could light the sky and tell him how she felt... her dearest Oswald.

Relationships[]

King Valentine the Great[]

The dragon sees the former king of the valentine kingdom as it's master and it was the one who hatched the dragon for the purpose of being the main destroyer of the world along with king gallon, the dragon only exclusively take orders from king valentine and take no any orders or commands from other beings aside from king valentine.

Boss[]

As a hatchling - Most of Leventhan's attacks involve firing energy blasts at the characters he is fighting with, but he is rendered open whenever he attacks. To compensate for this weakness, he has a powerful defense until he is knocked down, but his attacks deals deadly damage. Even in his infant stages he demonstrates the ability to fly, but not to the same extent as what Wagner can manage. On the ground, he occasionally charges the character with a headbutt. As with his blasts of fire, evading his attacks are not too difficult and opens up opportunities for retaliation.

In Leifthrasir its hatchling form gains new attacks. Being capable of spinning into the air, slam into ground while flying, shooting a large fireball while airborne, and summon Salamanders whenever it is knocked. Its beam attacks can also cause the Burn status and it is capable of gaining a temporary power up, visible in the form of his body being surrounded in flames. During this form its beams can become giant in size and cover a wide vertical and horizontal area.

In his full grown form - Due to his size, the character has to climb along his back ever upwards until one reaches his head, and all the while lightning strikes the sky. Balls of energy also seem to half-heartedly home in on the character, and produce small electric bursts when touched/after a short timer. Usually if either of these attacks hit the player, they will be sent tumbling down his back to a lower level, forcing the player to climb again. Another attack of Leventhan is to wall the character in with part of his body (with his spines moving at high speed so progress is impossible during this time) while its head comes down attack directly. Leventhan either attempts to swallow the player by lunging forward or firing a massive energy blast. Both can be avoided with some skill. The only way to damage the boss is to attack its horn, the one with Valentine's crown. This is possible either when the player reaches the top level of climbing the dragon's back, or when the head comes down to the player's level to attack. At the head of Leventhan the only attacks to worry about are the lightning bolts, the energy sparks and occasionally Leventhan swipes the tip of his tail to knock the character down (this attack can be anticipated by seeing it coming in the background). At certain percentages of health Leventhan roars in agony (or irritation), ceases all current attacks and the player is sent back to the lowest level to begin the ascent again.

Armaggedon[]

Gwendolyn is the character meant to fight Leventhan. Gwendolyn overlooks the fall of Ragnanival and the sinking Titania from the safety of Abandoned Castle. She is alone at that time, because Oswald is out to gather information. Overlooking at Leventhan, Gwendolyn decided to go against the dragon with her sister's Psypher in her hand, and the blue bird once again appeared before her, telling her to 'knock down the crown'.

Gwendolyn then arrives at the scene, and mutters that it is impossible to fight the fully grown Leventhan, but then remembers the blue bird's words, and spotted King Valentine's crown wedged on one of Leventhan's horn. After a long and hard battle, Gwendolyn proved to be victorious but also lost her wings, automatically strips her away from her ability to fly. Griselda, in form of a ghost appeared before her once again, congratulating Gwendolyn and tells her that she is waiting on the other side. Gwendolyn utters her one last wish to tell Oswald how she loved him.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Leventhan" may be a corruption of "Leviathan", the Bibical serpent appearing in the Book of Job. Leventhan is likely also based on the serpent "Midgardsormr" from Norse mythology.
  • Leventhan seems to bear a resemblance to Shenron from Dragon Ball.
